Just like ordinary people, whole nations often wonder why their neighbours are living better than they. If not other nations, then at least Latvians often ponder why their neighbours Estonians live as well as they do. So why is that? Could the answer have some connection with Latvian cargo ship Rasma, that sank near Mohni Island 70 years ago? Latvian ship Rasma is a reason to provoke the harmonious life of Northern Estonians living on the harshly beautiful coast by questioning whether at least some basis of their wellbeing might have come from the Latvian ship.

"Hi, Rasma!" is an entertaining and delicate observational documentary with an enriching author's point of view from the Cannes FIPRESCI Prize winner - Laila Pakalniņa.

Director: Laila Pakalnina, script: Laila Pakalnina, cinematographers: Arko Okk, ESC, Rauno Volmar, editor: Kaspar Kallas, producer: Arko Okk, co-producer: Laila Pakalnina, co-production companies: Kinokompanija Hargala (Latvia), Ketvirta Versija (Lithuania), production company: Acuba Film OÜ, supporters: Latvian Cultural Endowment (DKKF), Estonian Cultural Endowment, Estonian Public Broadcasting.
