A new generation of talented filmmakers has hatched to give us a taste of the future of animated film. The first part of the screening is a platter of delicacies for stop motion lovers. We are served a lifelong trip that includes reflections of painful childhood memories and mistakes later in life. The flavour of real life turns into the taste of applesauce when we dive into the colourful world of drawn animation. Finally, it’s only appropriate to jump into the boots of an alien from outer space, buckle our seatbelts and enjoy a mixed technique sci-fi spectacle that will give any ‘80s B movie fan thrills.

While playing origami with his granddaughter, a grandfather experiences an internal journey, travelling back to his childhood.

While two uniformed den guards divulge themselves as spineless beings, animals carry on philosophical dialogues about important existential issues. At the same time, the solution to one of the most essential problems is apparent: you just have to wash, peel, cut, and mash it. The apple.
Blieschow
Vast plains, colourful sceneries and a red dog that seems to reach into the sky. This is how Tom experiences summer at Blieschow, his grandfather’s farm. He feels overwhelmed by the exuberance of nature and finds himself in a constant competition with his cousin, who is seemingly better at everything. Envy starts to grow in little Tom. Doing everything to be recognised and loved, Tom soon reaches his limits.
