A solid western made in the era when westerns were made well. Ronald Reagan gives a fine performance as a Cincinnatus type sheriff Frame Johnson who is called upon to quell a lawless town. The adapation of Burnett's story "Saint Johnson" is also a follow-up to 1932's "Law and Order" with Walter Huston, yet has enough energy and excitement to stand on its own.
