Two men, Abasiri (50) and his cousin Mani (25), arrive in the capital city to identify the body of a woman who was raped and murdered. Abasiri recognizes his wife Suddhi, who left him more than 15 years ago. He decides to bury her in her native village. Without a penny to his name to pay for transporting the coffin with her body, he uses every trick he knows to persuade ice-cream vendor Lenin to help him. Believing the coffin to be empty, Lenin places it on the hood rack of his van. The ice-cream van with its unusual load drives across the countryside of Sri Lanka as the three men, singing, drinking and smoking hashish, quickly find a common language. Time goes by pleasantly until they lose their load...
